How often do we wish we had someone to talk to about our academic work? And to know what others are doing, the difficulties they are having and how they solve them? Or to want to be part of a larger community of people who seek to know more and to progress through university?

Everyone who studies in higher education and has academic work in progress, independently of the cycle of studies, will probably ask similar questions… This is precisely why the Centre for Classical and Humanistic Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra conceived the 1st Student Forum on Classical and Humanistic Studies, to be held on June 8 and 9 2022.

We define ourselves as a Scientific Hub in the Humanities and, with this initiative, we want to bring together undergraduate, master’s and PhD students on an international scale, who want to present their ideas, texts, projects and theses to their peers. We will have presentations of academic projects that may lead to comments from guest experts, as well as thematic posters from relevant moments of specific paths of research.

And, as a community, we believe that, by knowing more about how we work on our research, the time we spend, the places where we study, and other relevant topics, we can be useful to each other. To help with this, we have a brief survey that adds value to the act of registration in the Forum. Your answer is most welcome!

We hope to see you all at Theses in conversation on June 8 and 9 at FLUC!
